Rake Wine Bar — Definitely Not a Chore

A no frills wine bar with one very good thing—great, affordable wine. Most bottles range $40-60 (a steal in NYC). You can find wine from the countries you expect and then some from more interesting places like Austria, Croatia, and Hungry. I recommend trying one of those for a change. We did. And they were delicious.

We had 6 p.m. reservations on a Saturday but you could find seats. It was Halloween so maybe everyone was at a scary good party.
