Overstory — Go! End of Story

It's been a long time since I've been this high in NYC. No, not because of legalized weed in NYC, but because Overstory, perched on the 64th floor of 70 Pine in the Financial District, takes drinking to whole new elevations.

This is an easy one to review. This is one of the finest cocktail experiences I've ever had, and it's no secret. Overstory was named 2023's 17 best bar in the world and 7 best in North America by 50 Best. So you should go. Like right now. The cocktails are creative and delicious (a delicate balance not always achieved elsewhere). Kyle, our friendly bartender, made us feel welcome and added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. My friend and I cozied up to the bar late on a Thursday night; the vibe was effortlessly cool and lowkey (I can't vouch for the scene during the post-work hustle).

Get a Whole New Perspective of NYC

Let's talk about that view. It's awesome. You can't see it from the bar, but there is a wraparound terrace you can stroll around (I did multiple times) or sit on in warmer months. It was foggy and misty, but that didn't stop us from seeing uptown, Jersey City, Brooklyn, the East River, and the Brooklyn Bridge.

This Nice Comes with a Price

The only downside is that the bill can add up with drinks $24 a pop, but the overall experience at Overstory is worth every cent. Cheers to Overstory taking cocktails to new heights.
